RV dealer shuts doors after trailers stolen

WICHITA, Kansas (KSN) -- After a year of bad luck and burglaries, a larceny Friday night at R & D Camperland on South Broadway was the last straw for the owners. They're moving what's left of their inventory to a competitor’s lot and closing their doors for good.

The owners were thinking of shutting down sometime this winter. When they showed up to the lot on Saturday morning they decided to shut down immediately. A wooden fence that surrounded their lot was in pieces and 4 campers worth $85,000 were gone.

"We were wondering maybe we jumped too soon maybe we shouldn't close it down but I think after this weekend we're both really, really glad," said Wendy Boatright, co-owner of R & D Camperland.
